The good thing is that time flew by before you know it was the end of my shift. Last night my son woke me up 3 times so I didn't get much sleep, and I was so tired I did not want to drive to the gym. Gone Raw!! Day 20

August 20th, and the 20th day of going RAW!!!! So far so good with this weekend. I drank enough juice in the morning to hold me over for lunch. I also though about how when we were children we would pull the weeds from the yard. Now, I am finding myself purchasing the pesticide free version of it from the store. You will see that tonight I juiced and ate a salad, and it was nice. However, that won't happen often.  Well, I must keep this short because my eyelids have bricks on them. Gone Raw!! Day 19

August 19th, and the 19th day of going RAW!!!!  If you follow then you noticed that I missed a couple of days. I was attacked by body-snatchers that caused some strange muscle pains to my whole body, and they did not want to return me in a timely matter to blog. I feel much better now! Well, on Wednesday I went to the Hematologist, and before treatment my hemoglobin was 9.8, and after 3 treatments it's only 9.9.  He stated that the treatments had not kicked in yet, so we will see what happens after the remaining 7.

One thing I can say is this RAW life is RAWSOME!!! Overall I have had more energy, my skin feels better, and I am always satisfied vs. feeling heavy. I suggest that everyone give their body a break by trying this raw life for at least a week to experience what the rest of us are experiencing. Like I mentioned before I am doing the RAW life for a total of 60 days, and after that RAW meals will make up for the majority of my food consumption. I have been thinking about remaining a vegetarian after the 60 days, but a final decision has not been made. Remember my motivation of this food lifestyle is my heart condition. I have to lose weight, so my heart is not working any harder than needed.  Anyway enough of me let's see what landed in my belly today.....

Gone Raw!! Day 16

August 16th, and day 16 of going RAW!!!! Not much occurred today. I took the kids to school, then came back home to work on an order and attempt to relax a bit since I felt like I was coming down with something. Working on the order happened, but rest did not as I was focused on bows. After picking up the kids and doing the Mommy thing I continued on the order. I also made a Raw version of ice cream to satisfy a chocolate craving that I was having.  I must say that my version of the ice cream came out pretty darn good. Well, let's see what else made it in my belly today....

Gone Raw!! Day 15

August 15th, and the 15th day of going RAW!!!!! It was a good day even with the time that I had to leave the house this morning. My little guy was very excited for his uncle to take him to school today, and when I picked him up he was so excited to tell me about his day.  He showed and read the book to me that he picked from the library, and completed his homework that he stated was very easy.  At work I switched things up a bit for lunch, buy juicing and eating salad wraps. Earlier, I had the feeling that I may be coming down with something or it could be allergies. This kinda sucks because if I am coming down with something I really can't afford to be sick, so lets hope that it's just allergies. Enough of my day lets see what landed in my belly today....

Gone Raw!! Day 13

August 13th, and the 13th day of going RAW!!!!  As I glance at my once clean floor that is now filled with toys I am thinking about how today flew by. I started my morning off a bit later than normal. After the kids were feed and happy I began to juice, and to my surprise I had an audience of two. They were so excited every time I placed another item in the mouth of the Jack. As Jack spit out juice from, the kids jumped and clapped, then my 5 year old asked if he could help. I was all smiles!!! Since I had completed drinking my juice I let him juice carrots, apples, and cucumber so he and his little sister could have. They love carrots and apples, but he did not like the juice. However, his little sister loved the juice.  After completing some other things around the house it was time to get ready for the Buddy family dinner that welcomes the new students and the family to the school community. The dinner was great, my son had a great time doing arts & crafts.  I aslo had to chance to talk to other families that had been at the school for awhile vs. only talking to the family that we were assigned to. Well, that pretty much took up the rest of our evening so see what landed in my belly today.....

Gone Raw!! Day 12

August 12th, and the 12th day of going Raw!!! IT'S THE WEEKEND BABY!!!!!! Today was a pretty good day. I had a really short day at work because I had to leave for my InFed treatment with is when I take my Friday midday nap once the benadryl kicks in. LOL! I was glad to see that my hemoglobin has risen from 9.1 to 10, but I am not sure if it's only from the treatment or a combination of going Raw as well. Since going raw I have naturally consumed alot more spinach and beets than normal. I guess it does't really matter because the goal to is just be healthier overall. Early this morning I was excited about the amount of weight that I have lost so far after stepping on the scale. The nurse at the Cancer center made a comment. I will share the start-current in a much later blog so keep following me, and you will be shocked. Going Raw is not a fad diet for me, it's a jump start of a lifestyle change. As I mentioned in a previous blog as of now I don't plan on remaining completely Raw after the 60 days, but it will be the majority of my meals. Always remember that anything done for 30 days becomes a habit, and I am going strictly Raw for 60. Now, with that said lets see what landed in my belly today......

Gone Raw!! Day 11

August 11th, and the 11th day of going RAW!!! Today was the first day of Kindergarten for my little guy, but no worries Mommy did good. LOL!!! I was getting hungry after drop off, and ready to juice using the office juicer as soon as I arrived. Mmmmmmm......so fruity!!!! I also had a light-bulb moment regarding the remains that I normally throw in the trash after juicing. So, this time instead of throwing it away I used the remains to top my salad for lunch. Deeelicious!! Now that's a double whammy. After work I picked up the kids and did the Mommy thing of course, but when I was done I was so tired I just passed out on the couch which explains my meal for dinner. So, now it's time to see what was on the menu for the 11th day.....

Gone Raw!! Day 10

August 10th, and day 10 of going RAW!!! Today went pretty well, but as I attended my sons kindergarten orientation the reality of my little guy becoming a big boy sunk in as he meet his new teacher and roamed his classroom. Needless to say he is very excited to start a new school, and meet new friends. I was also delighted this morning because one of our co-workers came up with the idea of purchasing a juicer for the office so those interested can have the convenience of juicing at work vs. eating the unhealthy meals served downstairs. Even better he brought the juicer in today, and despite our Manager bringing in Dunkin Donuts he juiced anyway and he liked it. As planned after buying the last few school supplies for my little guy I was able to hit the gym. Have I ever mentioned how much I love exercise and moving my body. One of the best stress relievers for me, and one thing that I consider as personal time. Well, now time to see what landed on the menu today.

Gone Raw!! Day 9

August 9th, and day 9 of going RAW!!!!! Today was a pretty good day despite me being an hour late for work due to an accident on I-4. I had been stuck on I-4 so long my 2 year old was starting to get fussy, and start telling me bye-bye. She may not be able to tell time, but her actions told me that she can sense it. I say this because she start saying it at the same time that I normally drop her off. Wow, Kids amaze me!! As I was thinking about having to stay at work an hour later than normal my Manager forwarded an email to me that basically described a bunch of scenarios of people that would not be living had they not been late for work on 9/11. At the end of the email it basically said that God put you in that position to protect you from something else. Did I mention that she is an amazing Manager, and I am not saying this because of today's email. Fast forward, and before picking up my daughter I stopped by the health food store to get buy some Chia seeds. I will let you know when I try them. Ok, so let's see what landed in my glass and on my plate today.....

Gone Raw!! Day 8

August 8th, and day 8 of going RAW!!!! Today was another delicious Monday, I started the day off with some juice of course to give me a boost of energy after not sleeping much. Went to work, picked up my MVP's feed them, and then I had some me time at the gym. Exercising does something to my mind, and soul that's hard to put into words. The only downfall is that I can't do cardio with the intensity that I was doing three weeks ago, but that does not stop my focus. If you have read my other blog, than you probably understand my desire to lose weight and why I have not given up. I spend my short time educating myself on this Raw lifestyle, and how I can incorporate it into my life after the 60 days. Well, here is what was on the menu today

Gone Raw!! Day 7

August 7th, and the 7th day of going RAW!!!! All I have to say is the time thief got away with my time again. Started the day with Church, and before heading to the mall I went to the health food store to pick up my free book on Raw living. See....
We went to the mall, and I finally purchased a medical alert bracelet for myself. I will say that it's not sparkling cute, but it could definitely save my life if needed. I was gonna have BBB etched on it, but I thought the full wording made more since for emergency situations. We  took a moment visited some family, and then headed home. Gone Raw!! Day 6

August 6, and day 6 of going Raw!!! Today was a busy, but awesome day. I took my daughter for her 24 month check up. She is such a tiny little lady weighing only 23lbs, but that girl can eat. Good thing that I feed her healthy foods. After her appointment we went to Chamberlins for a few items, Rich Hippie to scout out some new pieces for my new wardrobe, and the Farmers Market Outlet to stock up on some produce for the week. I love that place for produce because you get quality local produce (Grown in the USA) nothing is waxy, and you can still see the dirt on it sometimes. For $26 dollars I left out with a spinach, bok choy, kale, leek, chard, granny smith apples, red apples, red grapes, juicing carrots, zucchini, pineapple, cucumbers, banana, cilantro and parsley. Now try going to your local grocery chain to buy all of those items and tell me how much you spend. Well, our day was topped off by attending a birthday party at the movies which I think was pretty cool. The kids loved the Smurf movie, and I am sure that they will be singing Smurf tones, and talking Smurf for weeks. So as you can see my Saturday was pretty eventful, but I am sure that you are wondering with a day like today what was on the menu for me.....Well, here you go!!!

Gone Raw!! Day 5

August 5th, and day 5 of going RAW.....IT'S FRIDAY BABY!!!! Excuse me i just had a moment. LOL! I hope your day was more beautiful than you expected. I am so glad the weekend is here so I can go shopping because after the death of my Magic Bullet breakfast has been satisfying, but it came from a bottle vs a fresh assortment of goodness. Today I spent 3 hours at the Cancer Institute getting INFed, and boy was I tired. I got a great nap while there, but one of the other things that they give you is benadryl via an iv so that tired feeling lasted for a long time. Yesterday, I was trying to increase my knowledge of this lifestyle, and came across this cool site that has tons of Raw Vegan recipes, and caters to the Raw community, so if your interested then check it out. Now, I must warn you that my meals from today were not much, but I was fine so here you go.......

Day 5
Plenty of water throughout the day.

Gone Raw!! Day 4

August 4th, and day 4 of going RAW...My heart still morns for my magic bullet that broke yesterday while attempting to make a smoothie. So today I just had to get NAKED again for breakfast, and that Green Machine definitely hit the spot.

So if you have been following my other blog, than you will know that I have been dealing with some health problems. I saw my Gastroenterologist for the first time today, and learned that I will indeed need to have an Upper EGD and Colonoscopy procedure done for further investigation on where I am losing blood, and what is causing the pain on my left side abdomen. That was the highlight of my morning especially after hearing that it has to be done in the hospital because of my condition. LOL!!! Anyway, I noticed that I am not as hungry as I was the first couple of days, and I think that I can truly incorporate this lifestyle long-term. I like what it is doing with my body, skin, and overall feeling. I REALLY FEEL GOOD!!!! Well because of the lack of planning today's meals are a bit similar to yesterdays so don't get too excited until you see what I juiced.....

Day 4

Gone Raw!! Day 3

August 3rd, and day 3 of going RAW....I must say as the days go by this is getting easier and easier, but today I was faced with an unexpected challenge at work. It was breakfast time, so as usual I put my items in my cup added ice and proceeded to blend using my Magic Bullet. CAN YOU BELIEVE THE PIECE THAT TURNS THE BLADE BROKE!!!!!!! OMG!!!! What a girl to do when she has gone raw, and the cafeteria does not sell fresh fruits except bananas. Well, I went downstairs anyway looked and refrigerator and saw a NAKED drink. Ok, that is the next best thing to having it fresh so I enjoyed a Green Machine with a banana. That was around 0900, and I stayed satisfied until around 1300. One thing that I noticed today is that I did not feel tired, but with snacking and good hydration I felt satisfied and not heavy for the rest of the day. So as you can see today was not very exciting in food land probably because I was deprived of my morning smoothie. Anyway below you will find my meals for the day....

Gone Raw!! Day 2

So August 2nd and day 2 of going Raw, and I must say that I woke up with a sensation of health running through my veins.I continued to have that feeling for a good portion of the day until I was hit with a sudden feeling of being tired. I believe that was my body telling me thanks for feeding it the earth, but please get more rest. LOL! I took a much needed break, and feed my obsession with clouds. What do you think?

Well, after enjoying this beautiful view there was a since of rejuvenation, and I was able to continue my day. After seeing my little angels the next highlight of my day was when my Mother dropped off my new Jack Lalanne juicer that arrived at her place today.
