SALONS/SPA + IT WORKS! GLOBAL WRAPS = INCREASED PROFITS

Salon/Spa workers, Massage Therapists, Estheticians and others in the field of health and wellness know and understand that people want to look and feel great. This weekend I went into several salons asked if they do body wraps. Many of them were small, so I knew the answer was no. For many years body wraps have been a popular thing to do for people that want to get their sexy back and many people in the beauty and health fields would love to offer the service because body wrapping is a great service to offer existing clients and a great way to bring new customers into you salon/spa that normally wouldn't come for any other services.Yes body wraps are great, but the over head cost can get be very pricey. That's not even including that most states requires an Esthetician or massage therapist license to perform treatments which cost time and money.  Another thing to note is many men and women would love to do a body wrap, but the average cost of a body wrap session can range from $90-300, and it is a very time consuming process.

So what is the investment to get started in the body wrapping business and what's needed? The initial investment to get started in the body wrap spa service can range from $1000 to over $10,000.  This ultimately depends on the business owners objectives, space, equipment, supplies, and proper hands-on education and training. Most technicians will measure and wrap their clients while they are standing, but a table is recommended for dry skin brushing and applying the slenderizing anti-cellulite gel. Once the client is wrapped the tech will need a place for them to sit to stay warm in the wraps for 1 hour, and this typically  means having them sit in a sauna or a sauna suit, walk on a treadmill, stand on a vibration machine or relax with a magazine while drinking a nice warm cup of herbal tea. Whew!!! Now I understand why a session can range from $90-300.

Now let me ask you this....Would you love to offer body wrapping as an add on service to your current business with an minimum investment? Imagine a customer coming into your establishment for a service, they see that you offer a new service that will tighten, tone, and firm site specific areas within 45 minutes, and request to add this service. Now picture yourself taking less than 5 minutes to measure, take a before photo, and wrap the client. Yes it's that simple, and after you have wrapped them you can continue performing the service that they originally came into your establishment to have done. When you are done with your client you can remove the wrap, re-measure,  take a after photo, and send them home happier. Some clients may prefer to remove their wrap later, and this can be done as well. Anybody, in your establishment can wrap clients as it does not require any state certification.
Now at this point your asking how can this be done.....If you have heard of It Works! Global than you have heard of the Ultimate Body Applicator. Many salons, spas, massage therapist, and more have added this add-on service to their business and have watched their profits increase. Wouldn't you love to do the same, and make residual income as well?

QUESTION:
How does a Salon Set up this business for SUCCESS?

MADRA’S ANSWER:
I wrapped EVERYONE that walked in my door as an add on service. I retailed the wraps, facials, fat fighters, defining gel and greens from my shelf. I let anyone working there wrap. Receptionist, Massage Therapist, Esthetician, Stylists whomever. I had blitz cards, loyal customer forms and catalogs on each styling station. Customers would purchase off the shelf because they wanted more wraps right then, BUT they would also enroll as loyal customers to save money. My staff would wrap their clients before their service and once the service was finished the wrap was ready to come off and we showed them their results. IT IS ALL WE TALKED ABOUT. I had people coming in just to wrap that had never before graced our door. I had a banner right inside the front door, almost had to climb over it to get inside…that caught their attention. If it did not it was the job of the staff to TELL PEOPLE and say LET ME WRAP YOU. I enrolled a few staff as distributors and they were able to use their own stock and collect the fee for wrapping their clients however if the client wanted to purchase off the shelf they purchased my stock. If a stylist wrapped a client and they were not a DT I gave them 5 bucks for every wrap they did. 5 bucks cash on the spot. I had a girl make $65 bucks in a day just from wrapping her clients. I did not let my staff purchase product off my shelves for personal use. They enrolled as loyal customers. It was such a huge hit.
We had at least one party a week for the first month…inviting clients and anyone else that wanted to come. I kept it so simple. Only water. Did the Fat Fighter demo, sampled Greens, Talked about the Defining Gel and Facials. Collected names and emails and did 4 drawings for wrap parties. Announcing that the HOST/WINNER would receive a free wrap. I had people begging me to host parties with their friends. EVERYONE in my salon was on board. They all tried the product, saw the results and couldn’t wait to share our new “FIND” Instant results, great price, easy and mess free. Clients were so excited to get results without having to spend and hour naked in a room! lol
Once the Salon see’s the huge income potential they want to work ALL aspects of the business as NOT to leave any money on the table. Their staff will see the increased income and want to join in and enroll as distributors themselves. I have never found a product in all my years as a Salon owner impact my revenue like this did. I challenge all of you to connect with the Salon you do business with and tell them about this income possibility. If they say NO, ask them if YOU can host a party with their staff and clients to SHOW THEM what this product will do for their overall business. Give them $5. for every client you wrap as a THANK YOU for letting you introduce this Worlds First to Market product. There is NOTHING like it in the world. Hope this helps!

Temple cleaning time.....

So, one day last week I woke to a few pimples on my face which is something I haven’t had in some time now and I owe it all to indulgence.  I have been wrapping and at the same time enjoying junk foods like Oreos, chips, fried foods, and etc. Thank goodness that these CRAZY WRAP THINGS! have maintained my belly from growing. LOL! However, when those pimples appeared the first thing I thought was after Thanksgiving it’s time for some temple cleaning which is long overdue because I haven’t detoxed in a long time and my skin is telling on me. At least it seems that way and what better time to do so than after Thanksgiving.  Like so many other things it’s easier when you have somebody joining you. My friend/Zumba instructor loved her results after doing a 3 day detox so much I figured why not have her join me in this venture. Hopefully, it will help her to fight off whatever sickness she is experiencing right now as well. Must I say that this girl is a solider because we are not doing 3 days people. Nope, we are doing 7 days of raw foods… Maybe the next cleanse will be after New Years for a real fresh start.  So, what will the 7 days include?

7 days of Detox

Drink lots of alkaline and distilled water
Eat an abundance of fruits and vegetables
Drink fresh raw juices and smoothies
Drinking daily serving of  “Greens” by It Works
Eat raw hemp seeds, nuts, and seeds
Wrap stomach using the Skinny Wrap (Ultimate Body Applicator)
Pack Willpower, focus, and mental strength.....

Change in plans to reach my target weight......

The last time I posted here I stated that I will remain raw for a certain amount of time. Well!!!!! That did not last very long, and after stepping on the scale the other day I realized that I am within the same weight range as I was early this year. So, basically I have just maintained my weight loss which I want more. A few weeks ago I purchased a 3 pack of mini composition books, and decided to put them into use by putting my goals in black ink. My plan is very simple....I will begin switching my other workouts outside of Zumba, eat a diet  high in anti-inflammatory foods, continue to drink lots of water,  consuming fresh juices/smoothies everyday, and as an It Works distributor I will wrap myself thin. I have also set the goal to lose an average of 5 lbs per month starting in October. Setting this goal I should reach my desired goal by July 2013.

As I mentioned I am now an Independent Distributor for It Works which was a decision that I made after seeing how it is changing the life and body of friends. If your looking to change your body or financial health one wrap at a time visit my website review the many products It Works has to offer and become a loyal customer to receive the best price.

Raw-Gust.....Day 8 and Zumba for a Cure

OMG!!!!! I couldn't wait for Raw-Gust 25th to arrive because I was so excited about attending Zumba for a Cure which was 2 hours of adrenaline pumping Zumba hosted by T.J. Maxx, and lead by two awesome instructors that donated their time, Maria and Andrew. If you remember I went RAW this time around so I could have pure energy to do the 2 hours. Well, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED because I completed the 2 hours and felt like I could have done another hour. At least that is what my mind was thinking. LOL!  This morning leading up to the event I didn't have much of an appetite, and even afterwards I still didn't have much of an appetite. Before picking up the kids I even stopped at the store to buy food, but apparently my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Odd right? I know...I know that a couple of days ago I decided to stay RAW at least until the end of September, but I may extend that because  Zumbathon for Diabetes is on October 20th. I am so excited!!! I could really go on and on about my day, but here are a couple of pictures from the event followed by my meals. Warning it's really not much...

Raw-Gust 22nd......"Life is Good"

It's Aug 22nd and all I can say is "Life is good"....I feel so light, my mind is clear, and nothing can tarnish my mood. Not to mention that since Saturday August 18th I have lost an astonishing 6.4 lbs. Typically when I do raw I go with a variety of several different foods, but for now I have really been craving large salads, fresh juices, and smoothies which is good because that's a way to keep the budget down for those that think the lifestyle is expensive. Let me say for the record that eating RAW does not HAVE to be expensive if you shop at the right places like local produce markets and farmers markets. I can take $10 and leave with a good amount of produce to be juiced or eaten. Oh, and my already good blood pressure is even better on RAW, and that is something that medication NEVER accomplished when I was taking 3 medications that should have controlled it. Oh, and that is something that money can never buy. Food is medicine and if more people learned & lived this they would be less dependent on medications, and not risk destroying other organs while suppressing symptoms. Well I could go on all night, but I won't because I need to go back to bed. Yes, I woke up because I am doing late night/early morning laundry. LOL!!! So here we go with the food consumption for the past two days, and if it looks very simple to you than that is my aim as a working women......

Raw-Gust Day 2.....Not prepared

This morning started out well, but I didn't expect to be away from home so long. After church we spent hours searching for my son school supplies. Do you know how hard it is to find a primary journal? LOL!!!!!! Before leaving the house I drank a yummy 32oz smoothie. For lunch I had a few bananas , but that wasn't enough because I was seriously urging for melon. LOL!! We didn't make it home until around 1700, but understand that I made a huge salad when we made it there. Huge salad that is!!!!!! I haven't been hit with the detox phase yet, but I know it's coming soon and I am ready for it. Not sure what to expect for detox this time, but I know once it's over my energy levels will be off the charts and I may need to be release from a ceiling. Anyway like yesterday here are the things that I consumed on my second day of Raw in Rawgust.

Breakfast

32 oz Smoothie: 2 cups spinach, 1 cup blueberries, 1 scoop of NatraBurst, 1 banana, 2 cups ice, 1 cup water(add more as needed)

Lunch

3 bananas (I was not home)

Dinner

Salad: 3 cups spinach, 3 cups romaine lettuce, 1 small zucchini, 1/3 cucumber, half apple,1 banana sliced, half large mango, 1 large haas avocado, 1/3 large florida avocado, 6 sliced grapes, onions, black pepper, chia seeds, hemp seeds, raisins, 1 tsp maple syrup, juice of 2 squeezed limes.

Raw-Gust Day 1

Many people that follow me know that occasionally I go raw for a certain amount of days. This time I decided to finish the month of August Raw. Good thing because between my monthly visitor and enjoying high sodium and junk food my weight increased by a few pounds this week. My reason for going Raw....Well, I need to prepare for a 2 hour Zumba Master class that's on the 25th, and my body was also asking for more Raw foods as well and I like to listen.  Going Raw is not something that you can do overnight because you have to do some planning and mentally prepare yourself. For me I like to give myself a week or two for mental planning so once I start there is nothing that can get me off track. There are so many misconceptions about going raw and one is that people think that you have to eat certain products for energy to get through the day, and I can say that I have plenty of energy to get through my day. I even went to Zumba class Saturday morning, and it was great!!! So what did I consume today? Well, lets see......

Breakfast

Raw Juice: Granny smith apple, romaine lettuce, cucumber, celery, and 2 whole limes

Lunch

Whole Cantaloupe

Dinner

Huge Salad: Romaine lettuce, spinach, onions, whole avocado, whole mango, hemp seeds, raisins, and juice of 2 squeezed limes
****I think I had about 6 cups of lettuce&spinach mixture****

Snacks (not consume together)

Raw Juice: 4 Carrots, and 1 apple

1 stick of raw honey (I consume 2 minutes before Zumba class)

3 bananas

Sugar Baby Watermelon (unknown amount)

Someday, but not now.....

The power of RAW foods is so amazing, and it's the hardest thing to explain to someone that has never experienced it's laundry list of benefits. Whenever, I go completely RAW I ask myself why do I go back to cooked foods. LOL!!! Maybe someday I will never look back to cooked, but I can't set a concrete date. With time, knowledge, and experience I am sure that I will get there, but for now I will continue to do it 4-5 days monthly, 100% in 2-3 month cycles, and making it at least 80% of my daily food consumption. RAW is a big part of my lifestyle which doesn't make it challenging to do, and when strictly RAW I am given powers that are unknown to those that have never tried it. I am a huge believer that food can heal, and I rather eat something nourishing to my body than pop toxic chemicals in a form of a pill to reduce the systems of my problem. Pills don't heal, but sometimes they do a great job at masking problems.

So Raw So Good....Day 3

Like any other day today was a great day except for the part were my son decided to play Superman off the swing at school and during his celebration of making it the swing whacked him in the head. Yeah, I was told to pick him up from school, but that's fine because we went to my favorite place Wheat Berry and was able to have some Mommy & X time. While there I ordered a Coconut elixir with cacao nibs, and a raw desert treat that was rich and delicious. I saved the other half to experience the wonderful of it tomorrow. Today the Weather Gods decided to give us a plenty of rain so after picking up my daughter from daycare we danced to the Angry Birds theme song and I did some abs learned in pilates class. Bella decided to join in so I had a 26lb human to use as weights and she really had fun working out with me. The kids went to sleep, and the Weather Gods decided to give us a brief break so I decided to go for a walk to add some extra steps to my pedometer for the day since I was low. My goal is to walk no less than 10000 steps per day. During my walk the rain decided to dance on my shoulders so I decided that I would stay close and circle the blocks while doing mini lunges. Wow!!!! Lunging while walking really worked my thighs, and I can feel it. Well, Today I did not consume much because I wasn't very hungry today.

Day 3

Breakfast:
Fruit Smoothie (bananas, strawberries, blueberries, mangos, fresh coconut, spirulina, hemp, and dates)

Lunch:
Avocado vegetable salad wrap from Publix, and banana

Snacks:
Bananas, mangos, apricots, and apples

Dinner:
Time went by so fast and I wasn't hungry so I drank 2 good sizes of green chai tea with raw honey

So RAW So Good....Days 1&2

A couple of weeks ago I decided to join my company Get Fit challenge, and that sparked a thought that this would be a wonderfully opportunity to go RAW. The challenge began on Monday May 14th 2012 and ends July 8th 2012.I figured what a great time to give the body a break and heal.  I think that I have narrowed down my side abdominal pain, and it may be gluten because whenever I eat something with it the pain and discomfort comes back. Most people think RAW, and think that people only do it for the purpose of weight loss, but going RAW for me is a healing process. I love the many benefits of going RAW such as healing, mental clarity, radiant skin, vibrancy, and yes the side effect of weight loss. I weighted myself on Monday, and was 169.6 after enjoying two weeks of vegan mindless eating. I weighted myself again this morning and was 167.....OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS 2.6 lbs lost in one day. That previous night workout really kicked in, oh and I won't tell you how much I weighted last week, but thanks to continuing to exercise I lost most of the weight by Sunday. Today was my second day of being 100% Raw, and so RAW so Good. My energy is up, I feel great, and I had more energy and strength to get through my Pilates class with some extra to bottle for sale. Someone on my Facebook requested that I share my daily meals, and I thought that was a wonderful idea. Please understand that I am not a nutritionalist and I am not hear to provide healthcare advise, but I will tell you what worked for me. Now please understand during this journey I will fruit myself like no other because I love fruit, and believe that fruit is your friend not your enemy. Many people have been brainwashed to believe that fruit is bad for you because of the sugar, but they don't look at the full picture of what is being consumed on a daily basis. These people will tell you that eating too much fruit will make you fat and deter your weight loss, but you can't blame them because that is what we have been brainwashed to believe. If that were the case I would have not lost so much weight from eating so much fruit during my very first RAW journey, and I was able to maintain it by continuing on with a vegan lifestyle. If you recall I have tried every other diet (I really dislike that word), and nothing got me past a 10-15lb lost or stayed off longterm.  I love the unprocessed journey, and I love sharing my experience with you all so here we go....

Day 1:

Breakfast: Fresh Fruit Smoothie (bananas, strawberries, spinach, black berries maca powder, spirulina, dates, coconut, and purified water)
Lunch: Salad (butter lettuce, avocado, pear, honey, lime, hemp seeds, and chia seeds)
Snacks: Publix avocado roll, apple, bananas, dates, elixir from Wheat Berry
Dinner: Fresh Fruit Smoothie (spinach, blackberries, strawberries, dates, coconut, hemp, maca, water)

Day 2:
Breakfast: 32 oz fruit smoothie (bananas, strawberries, spinach, blackberries, hemp seeds, maca powder, dates, and fresh coconut)
Lunch: Huge salad (butter lettuce, avocado, pear, goji berries, black pepper, honey, lime, hemp seeds, and chia seeds)
Snacks: Several bananas, apple, date, Coconut Elixir from Wheat Berry, and Grapefruit
Dinner: Smoothie (bananas, cacao nibs, cacao powder, maca, dates, coconut chunk, and purified water)

***Although I did not list it above I drink nothing less than a gallon of plain water per day. I also drink a few cups of hot tea w/honey with one in the morning, and at least one at night before bed.***

Blood-Type O Diet: Vegan Style

Anyone that has been following me on Facebook or Twitter knows that I have been reading "BloodType Diet-Type O". I heard about this type of diet/lifestyle before, but I inquired about it for a different reason than doing a diet. If you know me, than you know that I absolutely despise the word and thought of a doing a diet. I am a firm believer that DIETS DO NOT WORK, but if your making a change in lifestyle you will have a long-term success vs. losing and gaining once the diet is over. The reason why I start doing research is because I wanted to learn more about how certain foods affect different blood-types or at least mine. LOL! I did this because as I start introducing certain healthy foods into my eating regimen I noticed that my body wasn't responding to them as I would have preferred and my weight-loss stalled. I have also had a lifetime issue with consuming certain foods that I like, but my body rejects. When I viewed the list of beneficial, neutral, and avoid foods for weight-loss I realized something that I found interesting. When I started my vegan journey I was consuming foods that were mainly on the beneficial list, some were listed on the neutral, and only a handful from the avoid list. I was amazed how instinctively I was eating foods that work best for my blood-type. As my weight-loss has stalled a bit I have decided to experiment again with my body, and go back to eating primarily from the beneficial, secondary neutral, and rarely from the avoid list. I love the vegan lifestyle and have no desire to go off that track, and I don't see any health or environmental benefits of doing so. Besides haven't you heard that Kale is the new beef, and I encourage people to consume more kale. LOL! So yes, my blood-type is O, and many people told me that I need to eat meat, but I disagree. I can respectably disagree because I have been down that road before, and I wasn't thriving like I thrive on vegan. A friend of mine posted that she is going to start a 3 day juice fast tomorrow, and I have decided that I will do a 3 day juice/smoothie fast as well as a jumpstart. I am so excited and I plan to track my food via "My Fitness Pal" username "NaturallyDolicious". After the 3 days of juice/smoothie cleanse I am going to stick with my plan for an additional 47 days-57 days. This is going to be an wonderful journey, and I am so excited.

Another new Raw-experience, and why I love Wheat Berry......

Where there is an great environment and great food you will ultimately find great people. ~Dolicia M.

Today I woke up kind of grumpy because like everyone else I lost an hour of sleep, however after my green smoothie that changed. I felt like me again, but the green drinks make my feel capable of doing anything including wearing a cape. Seriously!!!! On Thursday I made a commitment to myself that I would consume primarily RAW foods until I reach a 40 pound weight loss. In that moment I did not say that I will start on Monday, the 15, or any other day. Instead I decided that because I thought of doing it that day that I would start that day. Well, I am so glad that I started that day. Just happens that I had Zumba that night, so before going to the gym I made a green smoothie, and took water & a banana with me. I felt great doing Zumba on that first night RAW, and could only imagine how I would feel by the next class. Going RAW is easy for me to do at a drop of a dime because I already have what I need in the fridge, and when I am out and about I have Wheat Berry Bread & Cafe to meet my RAW needs. I love going to Wheat Berry because they have great RAW drinks, elixirs, and other RAW items on the menu. I can't speak on others experience, but my experience has always been great there.   The owners are great people, and with that other great positive people seem to always be present in the Cafe. Today I meet another cool, energetic, positive, RAW loving vegetarian there, and we joked about taking pictures of food. Needless to say her food photos surpass mine. LOL!!!! In a few moments of conversation I felt like I have known her for months, but she isn't the first person that I have had that connection with at Wheat Berry. If your new to RAW I suggest starting with anything on the RAW menu, but my personal favorite is the RAW pizza and any RAW deserts available that day. When it comes to the drinks I can't pick a favorite because I love them all. Well, don't take it from me go experience it for yourself!

Primarily Raw until I reach......

Like most people you guys probably think that I have lost my mind again, but I love you humans too. On Thursday I thought about how my skin was slowly repairing, how I was feeling blotted, and not so vibrant at the moment. Then I thought about when I was RAW, and how I felt during that time. That was the moment that I knew I should go RAW for several reasons which were to feel that high of vibrancy, watch my skin clear & glow more, and to get closer to my weight loss goal which is in the range of 110-120 lbs. Right now my home scale is toggling between 165-170, so as you see I have some work to do. Normally, when someone ask and I share my goal weight they often say that is too small, but keep in mind that my main focus for wanting that range is simply my for my heart health. Normally I set a number of days to go strictly RAW, but this time I decided to go primarily vs. strictly RAW til I have achieved a 40 lb weight loss. How long that will take is something I am unsure of, but for me that is a way to get closer to my goal. Now I know that most people don't understand what it's like to go primarily or strictly RAW, and if I were to explain it you will never understand until you have experienced it for yourself. I will still continue using "My Fitness Pal" to ensure that I am getting at least 1500 calories per day. When I think back to August 2011 when I did my 60 days of RAW I realize how I lost the weight without exercising consistently, but this time is different because my husband is not in another country for starter so I have a set schedule that I can stick with. It's also different because not only am I attending the gym on a regular, but I have also picked up Yoga/Pilates, Body Works plus Abs, and my favorite of them all Zumba. OMG!!!! Our Zumba instructor kicks our ass every class, but she is great and packed with energy. The energy that she brings to the class makes me want to push harder to at least try to keep up with her speed, and yes challenge myself to go further as well. Yes, I am one of those people that competes with self vs. others.  I have me to prove something too!!!! Well, I can write all night, but this human has to rest too. Oh, and I can't wait to visit my favorite place Wheat Berry Bread Cafe & Raw Juice Bar tomorrow to get a RAW juice, elixir, or RAW pizza tomorrow. I love that place!!!!

Strawberry & Citrus salad

For dinner I wasn't very hungry, so I ate something simple and delicious.....Yes, a salad!

Very simple to make too....
Ingredients: Spring mix salad, limes, strawberries, cilantro, ground peppercorns (black pepper can be used as well), red onions, tomato.

Directions:
Add spring mix salad into a bowl, and top with strawberries. (Cucumbers can also be added, but I wasn't in the mode for them tonight)

Dressing:
Slice the red onion, dice some tomato, and add to a small bowl

Squeeze the juice from the lime/s over the onion & tomato mixture, add black salt (sea salt will do), peppercorns, agave nectar, and stir together with a spoon or fork.

Blend:
Spoon the dressing onto the salad, eat, and enjoy.

How to create a full meal

.....Add black beans/chick peas/black eye peas to the salad, and toss on a bed of brown rice/quinoa.

Sorry I don't measure anything so just make to your taste.

This time around my raw journey feels different because on December 29th 2011 I also started my loc journey, so the connection of mind, body, and soul is different. I am loving the experience so much I decided to do some videos so you guys can hear and see my transformation during this 31 day journey.
