Last week was a challenge for me because I gained a few pounds at my weekly weigh-in 2.1 lbs to be exact. I will have to assume that it was all excess fluid because the next day it was gone. Can you believe that I was so unhappy that I didn't even blog about it, but I should have because the reality is that everyone struggles with weight-loss. Everyone will likely have a week that they may not be so proud of. Well, today I weighed in at the meeting and I lost 4.8 lbs which is truly about 2 lbs if I go off of Sundays weight vs. Saturday.
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."~Eleanor Roosevelt . . . You must do the things you think you cannot do, and for some that is losing weight. You can and will do it so don't give up because when you had a bad week remember that you made a choice to eat that ____, so next time chose wisely. If you need to learn different ways to make your fav foods then use online resources such as Hungry Girl or Weight Watchers (you don't have to be a member for some recipes and community boards)

It feels good....
When many people start a weight loss program they have the thought that they will achieve there goal with-in weeks of starting. If I had that mindset in the beginning I wouldn't be where I am today. I am not at goal nor am I close to it, but one thing I know is that the land of lifestyle change slower is better when referring to weight-loss. Last week I didn't lose anything, but I was fine with that because I was still exercising and following plan. This week I lost 2 lbs which is awesome to me. I won't expect that 2lb lost every week, but I will continue to follow the plan .....As of today I have lost a tota 15.2lbs, and it feels good.
